The image was taken at the IRIA (Initiative interministérielle de recherche en agriculture) project site at the Agriculture and Agri-Food research station in Ste-Clotilde, Québec. The picture shows the deep contrast of lettuce growing on organic soil in an experiment designed to investigate the consequences of adding mulch to these soils.
Krisztina Mosdossy is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Natural Resource Sciences at McGill University and a student researcher at the Saint Jean-sur-Richelieu Research and Development center for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
